Marcos Grigorian (Armenian)

Born in 1925 in Kropotkin, Russia to an Armenian family. Marcos Grigorian graduated in 1954 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. He had various one-man exhibitions in New York, Iran and Armenia. A major retrospective of his work was shown in 1978 at the Museum of contemporary Art in Teheran. In 1992, he also a solo show at the Near East Museum, Yerevan. Marcos Grigorian died in 2007. His works feature in major collections around the world as of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Museum of Contemporary art in Teheran; the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kerman and the National Gallery of Armenia.
